Humor/Commentary: November Surprise??

Breaking news on every single news media outlet's websites: Brittany Spears has filed for divorce from Kevin Federline. It's hard to think of much non-election news that would be breaking news on election day, but apparently this is one of them. Will such breaking news cause people to stay home from voting today and turn to Entertainment Tonight rather than MSBNC or CNN for their election day coverage? Should we add this to the list of election-affecting stories of the week, which include Pastor Haggard's indiscretions and Saddam Hussein's conviction? Time will tell.
