Commentary: How Low Will O.J. Go?
When I decided to write this post, I was not sure whether it would be commentary, news, or some sort of sick humor. However, this is just too shocking and repulsive to be news and, after writing that, it has to be commentary.
On November 30, 2006, O.J. Simpson will release "If I Did It," a book detailing how O.J. Simpson would have murdered Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman if he had been the murderer. Simpson is also scheduled to appear on Fox, on November 27th and 29th, in a two-part special called "O.J. Simpson: If I Did It, Here's How it Happened." Publisher Judith Regan, who is also publishing the book, will interview O.J. Simpson about how he would have committed the murders. As anyone alive in the 1990s knows, Simpson was acquitted of the criminal charges but a civil court found him liable for the murders and ordered him to pay $33.5 million in restitution to the victims' families (which he has yet to pay). It is unclear how much money Simpson will receive from the book and how much, if any, of the royalties will go to the victims' families. For more information, click here.
