News update: Admissions pulls Facebook idea; new date for website launch

The Admission's office has decided to pull its proposed plan to contact prospective and admitted students over Facebook.

According to Dean Rahman, "We didn't get a huge response from students and, after further investigation of this as a recruiting tool, decided not to do it as there's a lot of crazyness out there on Facebook." she said. "I never want to expose our students to any more "crazyness" than they already have in their lives."

In other news, the new proposed date for the launch of the law school's new website has been moved to February, according to Dean Roberta Sachs. Several web pages, including those devoted to pro bono and community service, are still under construction.
