News: A New Rocket Docket in Town

The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia has long been nicknamed the "rocket docket" for its ability to handle most cases in a swift manner. Some writers over the past two years, though, have argued that the rocket docket may be slowing down.

It now appears there may be some real competition for the honor. The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, for one, has been earning a reputation among attorneys as another swift jurisdiction in which to try cases.
